Turkey – Video filmed by T.C. İletişim Başkanlığı shows firefighting operations across multiple areas as crews battle ongoing forest fires. The footage captures aircraft dropping water over smoke-filled forests, helicopters releasing water buckets onto flames, and firefighters working through intense conditions.

Ground scenes show fire lines spreading through pine trees, bulldozers clearing areas amid heavy smoke, and crews in protective gear using high-pressure hoses to spray burning vegetation during day and night operations.

As of July 31, 2026, Turkish authorities reported that 202 of 206 recent fires had been fully contained. Four remaining fires were still being fought, including efforts in Balıkesir/Gömeç, Antalya/Alanya, Mersin/Gülnar-Aydıncık, and Aydın/Çine.

The fires in Balıkesir, Antalya, and Mersin were largely under control, while teams continued working to fully contain them. In Aydın/Çine, strong winds caused the fire to spread across a wider area and made firefighting efforts more difficult.

Turkey’s General Directorate of Forestry continued operations with 28 aircraft, 119 helicopters, 14 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,953 water tenders, 2,766 first-response vehicles, and 878 pieces of heavy equipment deployed across the country.
