The incident occurred on April 16, 2026, when a main supply line operated by Sui Northern Gas Pipelines burst near a factory and ignited. The fire quickly spread to nearby residential quarters and homes, creating panic across the area.

At least eight people, including women and children, were killed, many due to suffocation and burns. Between 10 and 11 others were injured in the disaster.

Firefighters from multiple districts battled the blaze for more than two hours before bringing it under control. Police and rescue teams responded rapidly as authorities launched an investigation into the cause, which may be linked to high gas pressure.
