Massive Fork Lightning Storm Explodes Across Sky In Central England

Hinckley, Leicestershire – Spectacular fork lightning lit up the night sky over Hinckley, Leicestershire, during a powerful thunderstorm on the night of May 27–28, 2026.

Video filmed by X user Luke Keattch shows brilliant white-purple lightning bolts repeatedly branching across the sky in rapid succession as heavy rain pours down continuously.

Recorded from a window or covered area, with raindrops visible on the lens, the footage captures each flash briefly illuminating nearby buildings, trees, and rooftops before darkness returns moments later.

The dramatic electrical storm was accompanied by constant rainfall as the camera remained fixed on the intense nighttime scene.
