Sandy Springs, United States – On February 28, 2026, Sandy Springs police responded to 1 Galambos Way after an assault involving children on bicycles.

Two boys told officers that an unknown adult male had pushed them off their bicycles. The incident was captured on surveillance video.

Police investigated and identified the suspect as Stephen Catterton. Probable cause for his arrest was established based on the evidence.

Catterton was later located at a concert in City Springs and was taken into custody without incident.

The police issued a public reminder: “Pushing kids off bicycles is not only unacceptable, it’s also a quick way to meet our officers. If Mr. Catterton happens to be your neighbor, you may want to use caution.”
