Pacific, Washington – Neighborhoods in Pacific were inundated with floodwaters after an overnight levee breach in the early hours of December 16.
The breach occurred around 1:30 a.m., sending water into residential areas while residents were asleep. The sudden flooding forced hundreds of people to evacuate their homes.

Emergency responses and evacuations continued as the scale of the flooding became clear after the early morning breach.
