Lethal Strike Conducted On Narco Trafficking Vessel In Eastern Pacific By U.S. Forces

Eastern Pacific – On May 8, 2026, Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations under the direction of the commander of U.S. Southern Command, Gen. Francis L. Donovan.

Intelligence confirmed the vessel was traveling along established narco trafficking routes and was engaged in narcotics trafficking operations.

During the strike, two male narco terrorists were killed, while one individual survived the action.

Following the engagement, U.S. Southern Command immediately notified the U.S. Coast Guard to activate search and rescue procedures for the survivor.

No U.S. military personnel were reported injured in the operation.
