Kanlaon Volcano, Philippines – At 8:58 AM on June 16, 2026, ash emissions were recorded at the summit crater of Kanlaon Volcano, producing grayish plumes rising from the peak.

The emissions reached around 500 meters above the crater before drifting toward the southwest. The activity was captured by an IP camera at the Kanlaon Volcano Observatory–Canlaon City (KVO-CC).

Since the previous day, a total of 15 ash emission events have been recorded. These produced plumes ranging from 100 to 500 meters in height, all moving in a general southwest direction.

Alert Level 2 remains in effect over Kanlaon Volcano as the activity continues to be monitored.
