Bonita Springs, United States – A Bonita Springs woman was taken into custody after deputies recorded her driving 123 mph while impaired on U.S. 41 in Bonita Springs on Wednesday night.

Deputies say they clocked Siria Lopez traveling at 123 mph before pulling her over on the highway. She was also found to be driving under the influence.

When questioned, Lopez reportedly said, “It’s a supra, that’s why”.

Officials stated she registered a blood alcohol level of 0.23, nearly three times the legal limit.

Lopez was arrested on charges of driving over 100 mph and DUI. She also received citations for careless aggressive driving, modified exhaust, and improper use of a turn signal.

Authorities added that this was not the first high-speed incident involving the same vehicle. In December 2024, the passenger in the same car was cited for driving 109 mph on the same road while in the same vehicle.
