Southern Lebanon – Israeli troops, operating under the 36th Division, carried out focused ground operations to expand the forward security zone in southern Lebanon.

During a targeted raid last week, soldiers identified armed militants at multiple locations in the area.

The forces engaged the militants from the ground, supported by divisional firepower, killing eight combatants, including a sniper from the Redwan Unit.

Following the engagement, troops located and destroyed an underground tunnel used by the militants. Inside the tunnel, dozens of weapons were recovered, including anti-tank rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, machine guns, and grenades.
