Campo di Giove, Italy – A bull injured on its back and unable to move was rescued on Friday, 22 May 2026, in Campo di Giove, in the province of L’Aquila.

The operation involved a helicopter rescue carried out by the crew of Drago VF140, part of the fire service flight department based in Pescara.

The animal had been blocked due to its injury when emergency crews intervened at the scene.

The helicopter team managed to reach the bull and carry out the rescue operation safely.

The intervention took place the previous day in the mountain area of Campo di Giove, bringing the animal to safety.
