Middle East – A 2020 report submitted by the United States Central Command to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office documented an unidentified anomalous phenomenon recorded on an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform.
The submission included one minute and three seconds of video footage. The original reporter digitally modified the imagery by pausing playback and adding a white line around an area of interest at timestamp 00:10, labeling it “U/I SMALL THERMAL SIGNATURE.”
According to the recorded sequence, from 00:00 to 00:09 an area of contrast becomes brighter within the sensor’s field of view and stands out increasingly against the background.
At 00:10 to 00:14, the footage pauses while the marked area is highlighted with the white outline and annotation.
From 00:15 to 01:03, playback continues as the sensor pans to follow the same area of contrast, keeping it generally in the upper third of the display. During this period, the sensor shifts through multiple contrast and zoom settings while tracking the object.
The material was submitted as received and was not altered in its original form by the reviewing office. The accompanying description is provided for reference only and does not represent any determination regarding the nature, validity, or significance of the recorded event.
