Moore, Oklahoma – An impaired driver crashed after making an illegal left turn and driving through a red light, leaving the vehicle on its side with an 11-month-old baby inside.

In the video, Moore police officers respond to the crash and check on the child inside the vehicle. The baby was safely removed, and police said the child and no one else on the road were harmed.

Officer Nicholes said: “Hey, ma’am, are you – is your baby okay?”

The driver, Skyler Martinez-McCallie, had a blood alcohol limit of 0.14, nearly twice the legal limit, according to the statement.

Moore Police said it was fortunate no one was hurt and noted that the incident was not isolated. From May 1 to June 1, officers responded to more than 60 DUI-related incidents.

The department said: “That’s nearly one impaired driving incident every day in our community.”
