Southern Gaza, Gaza Strip – The IDF has released footage showing a roughly 2-kilometer underground tunnel that it says was dismantled in southern Gaza near the Yellow Line.
The video begins with an excavator exposing a concrete-lined arched tunnel shaft in the sand before helmet-camera footage shows troops moving through a long underground corridor.
The tunnel has arched concrete supports, wiring and pipes along its walls, with daylight visible at a distant opening.
The IDF said the tunnel was dismantled as forces cleared what it described as terrorist infrastructure in the area. The military has previously reported operations involving the Yahalom engineering unit and Gaza Division forces to locate and dismantle underground routes in southern Gaza and east of the Yellow Line.
Israeli outlets reporting the latest IDF statement identified the units involved as the Givati Brigade combat team and Yahalom combat engineers under Gaza Division 143.
The military said Southern Command troops remain deployed in the area under the ceasefire framework and will continue removing what it describes as immediate threats.
The footage is separate from a roughly 600-meter underground route reported two days earlier in central Gaza near the Yellow Line and Deir al-Balah.
