Gaza Strip – Military forces operating in southern Gaza, east of the yellow line, carried out an operation aimed at clearing the area of underground terror infrastructure.

The 188th Brigade Combat Team, operating under the Gaza Division (143), worked in coordination with the Yahalom Unit during the mission.

During the operation, the forces destroyed four underground tunnel routes with a combined length of approximately four kilometers.

One of the tunnels was part of a network that was used as infrastructure for holding hostages.

Additional underground rooms were discovered inside the tunnels, which were reportedly used by senior members of the Khan Yunis Hamas brigade.

The coordinated destruction of the underground routes formed part of ongoing efforts to target and remove subterranean infrastructure in the area.
