Southern Lebanon – Israeli Defence Forces say elite commando units have destroyed around 70 Hezbollah infrastructure sites during coordinated ground operations in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, Commando Brigade forces are operating under the command of the 98th Division, carrying out targeted ground activity aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure in the region.
Troops from the Egoz Unit conducted a raid in the Ksarbet Ainata area near Bint Jbeil, where they entered a combat zone used by Hezbollah forces.
During the operation, soldiers located multiple weapons caches that were allegedly used by militants to conduct attacks from within civilian areas.
The seized weapons included RPG launchers, Kalashnikov-style rifles, ammunition, grenades, an anti-aircraft missile, surveillance equipment, and additional combat gear.
In parallel operations, Maglan Unit forces reported killing multiple militants operating in the same area while attempting to carry out attacks against Israeli forces.
After completing searches of the area, the units destroyed approximately 70 terrorist infrastructure sites in a rapid operation completed within a short timeframe.
