Piru, Ventura County – The Holser Fire was estimated at 95 acres on August 8, 2026, as firefighters made progress while working in steep, remote and challenging terrain.

Ground crews deployed hose lines and worked to secure the fire perimeter. Air tankers continued dropping fire retardant, while helicopters dropped water on hotspots and supported firefighters in difficult-to-access areas.

More than 200 firefighters and 80 fire engines were assigned to the incident.
