A firefighter lowers a rope from the Drago rescue helicopter as crews respond to people stranded by rising waters.

Firefighters then lift and secure a woman into the helicopter after she became trapped inside her vehicle.

The video was posted at 19:30 on March 31, 2026, as part of the Italian firefighters’ response to heavy rain and flooding that caused numerous road closures, stranded drivers, fallen trees, and dangerous chimneys across the province.
