The footage was captured from a residential street lined with two-story white houses, brick walls, a black streetlamp, and parked cars. Bright orange-red lava glows at the summit crater as the column of ash and gas expands and continues rising.

On August 4, 2026, Volcán de Fuego remained in an intense eruptive phase that began the previous day. Authorities reported sustained explosions, lava fountains reaching hundreds of meters, large ash columns rising several kilometers, and pyroclastic density currents descending multiple ravines.

CONRED maintained elevated alerts and carried out preventive evacuations of nearby communities as ashfall affected wide areas.
