Rochester, New York – The U.S. Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights, performed the bomb burst maneuver during the Rochester International Airshow at Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport on August 8, 2026.
The maneuver brings the demonstrators together in a vertical stack under canopy before the jumpers break away in opposite directions, trailing smoke as they open the pattern above show center.
The jump supported the U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion Syracuse.
Formed in 1959, the Golden Knights perform roughly 250 days a year in support of U.S. Army recruiting and community outreach.
