Málaga, Spain – In the past four days, the GREIM unit of the Guardia Civil, based in Álora, has carried out four rescues across Málaga province.
At Pico Javalcuza in Alhaurín de la Torre, two stranded hikers were saved from a rocky area.
In Marbella, a hiker lost in a hard-to-reach zone of Pico de la Concha was rescued.
In Sierra de las Nieves, two lost hikers were airlifted to safety by helicopter.
Near Río Chillar in Nerja, two hikers who spent the night lost, exhausted, and injured were aided by the Unidad Aérea.
The operations highlight the GREIM’s quick response to emergencies in Málaga’s rugged terrain.
