Flagler County, FL – A Palm Coast woman was arrested September 12 after deputies said she kicked a deputy while being taken into custody for domestic violence.

Deputies responded Saturday evening to a reported domestic disturbance in the B-Section of Palm Coast. After investigating, they determined Julia Jones, 40, was the primary aggressor and arrested her.

Jones became combative and uncooperative as deputies placed her under arrest, requiring them to lift her off her feet and carry her to a patrol vehicle. She screamed and kicked her feet, striking a deputy in the chest.

Jones was arrested for domestic battery on a person over 65 and battery on a law enforcement officer.

While being transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, Jones lost consciousness and was taken to AdventHealth Palm Coast. After medical clearance, she was transported to jail and later released on a $5,000 bond.

Jones was previously arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer during a 2024 incident. She was later found guilty of disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence.

“Deputies carry this woman kicking and screaming to jail,” said Sheriff Staly. “While she was throwing her tantrum, she kicked a deputy in the chest and was arrested for another felony.”
