Valencia, Spain – A fisherman was rescued from the sea on Monday, April 14, near Malvarrosa Beach in Valencia after he was swept away by strong winds.

The man had lost one of his swim fins while fishing, making it impossible for him to return to shore. The wind carried him further out into the sea, putting his life at risk.

At around 11:20 a.m., the Guardia Civil received an alert about the dangerous situation. The Provincial Maritime Service was activated immediately.

By 11:30 a.m., agents reached the rocky area near the entrance to the Marina of Valencia. There, they found the fisherman.

The crew of the Guardia Civil boat helped the man aboard and brought him to the Marina. Medical services took over to check his condition.
