Ruicheng County, China – A 9-year-old boy was rescued after falling into a narrow foundation shaft at a self-built house construction site in Shanxi Province’s Yuncheng region.

The child fell into a hole measuring about 40 centimeters in diameter and approximately 4 meters deep while playing at the site.

He became stuck at a depth of around 3 meters inside the shaft.

Rescue teams from Shanxi Fire and Rescue arrived quickly and set up a tripod system for the operation.

A slim firefighter was selected to enter the tight space upside down, providing reassurance to the boy while carefully working to widen the opening.

The rescue team worked together to safely pull the child out of the shaft.

Medical checks confirmed that the boy was not seriously injured.
