Almería, Spain – Personnel from the Military Emergency Unit’s BIEM2 battalion and crews from Plan INFOCA continued working together in the Los Gallardos fire area to eliminate secondary hotspots and defend the urban-forest interface.

Officials said the coordinated response remains focused on protecting homes and preventing further spread of the fire in challenging terrain.
