Final Farewell Preparations Begin At Iran Shrine With Carpets Rolled Out For Ceremony

Mashhad, Iran – Video filmed by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran shows preparations underway at the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza ahead of the farewell ceremony honoring the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Workers wearing green uniforms are seen arranging large ornate red carpets across the expansive marble courtyard of the shrine.

The footage shows crews carrying and unrolling carpets from stacks of rolled materials as they prepare the area for the major public ceremony.

The turquoise dome and intricate tiled architecture of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza are visible in the background under a clear blue sky.

The final farewell ceremony for Iran’s martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, is scheduled to take place in Mashhad. The body will be laid to rest at the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza.
