Castellón, Spain – Dramatic nighttime video shows firefighters battling the Tírig wildfire as crews combine direct attack with technical fire.

Fire trucks with headlights and blue lights are silhouetted against intense orange flames and thick smoke. Firefighters wearing protective gear, including yellow jackets marked BRIF and UME, handle hoses and direct streams of water toward the fire.

Personnel move along dirt paths amid glowing embers and smoke. Later, firefighters on a hillside use red drip torches to apply technical fire, igniting controlled lines of vegetation as flames spread along the slopes under a dim sky.

The Tírig wildfire started on the evening of August 7, 2026, likely caused by lightning. By the morning of August 10, approximately 810 hectares had been affected, with a 21-kilometer perimeter.

More than 300 personnel and 21 aerial resources were mobilized. At the time of the post, the situation was described as positive while crews awaited the fire’s evolution during the remainder of the day. The fire was later stabilized and controlled.
