Corpus Christi, Texas, USA – Video filmed by the Corpus Christi Fire Department shows firefighters responding after a dog was spotted in distress while swimming farther from land in Corpus Christi Bay.

Engine 11 received a call from a concerned citizen about the dog, and crews from Engine 11 and Medic 11 quickly responded to investigate.

Firefighters located the dog in the water and entered the bay to reach the animal.

The crew safely brought the dog back to shore with assistance from Animal Care Services.

The footage captures the rescue operation as emergency crews work together to bring the distressed dog to safety.
