Taylor, Pennsylvania – Video filmed by Meteorologist John Hickey shows his short-legged, tri-colored corgi racing through fresh snow in their backyard around 12:30 PM on December 2, 2025, as the tail end of a nor’easter dropped 4–6 inches across the Lackawanna Valley.
Their yard is covered in a clean layer of white powder under an overcast gray sky with light flurries still falling. A black metal bird feeder stands coated in snow, and a dark trash bin sits partly buried nearby.
The dog bursts across the yard with explosive energy, kicking up small clouds of powder as she charges through drifts almost up to her chest. Her tail flickers in rapid wags, ears flapping as she loops back and forth. At one moment she shoots a mischievous side-eye toward the camera before diving straight back into the snow with unrestrained excitement.
The original X post reads: “Nothing like the unbridled joy of a corgi playing in the snow!” offering a moment of pure levity amid the region’s slushy roads and power flickers.
