Manchester, England – Darren Fletcher confronted a Manchester United supporter in the Old Trafford outer car park after the club’s 4–0 Champions League win over Sabah FK on September 10, 2026.

Fletcher, United Under-18s coach and former first-team interim, had stopped to sign autographs before walking away from the crowd. According to StrettyEnd, who filmed the exchange, the supporter had been shouting at players who did not stop to sign, using a number of abusive terms.

Fletcher had signed for the supporter before walking away from the main part of the crowd. As he headed toward the team vehicles, the fan began shouting again, prompting Fletcher to turn back.

“You can’t speak like that… Show some respect… You’re the reason people don’t sign.”

Nearby fans applauded and chanted Fletcher’s name as he walked away. Security later made sure the supporter was walked on, and he remained quiet after the exchange.

The footage shows Sabah FK players in teal and turquoise tracksuits leaving toward black people-carriers, while United supporters stood behind barriers in the outer car park. No fight or police intervention is seen.
