Sucia Island, Washington – A U.S. Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Port Angeles conducted a hoist near Sucia Island on July 23, 2026, following a seaplane emergency landing.

The U.S. Coast Guard, along with the U.S. Navy, Canadian Coast Guard, and local partner agencies, responded to the emergency landing in Shallow Bay on Sucia Island.

The helicopter crew carried out hoist operations as agencies worked together in response to the seaplane incident.
