San Diego, United States – Video filmed by X user Hussein Mizoury shows the evacuation of dozens of young children from the Islamic Center of San Diego, which also houses a school, immediately after the shooting on May 18, 2026.

The footage captures a long line of small children walking hand-in-hand along the sidewalk and across the street in an orderly evacuation. Many of the children are wearing school uniforms, including maroon dresses and red shirts, while others are dressed in casual clothing.

San Diego police officers and staff members wearing tactical vests and uniforms walk beside the group, guiding the children and keeping them together as they move away from the scene.

The children are led out of the fenced compound past palm trees, the white mosque building, and a gray pickup truck parked nearby. Filmed from the roadside under bright sunny skies, the camera follows the group as they are taken to safety.

The footage captured the aftermath of the shooting in which two teenage suspects opened fire outside the center, killing three adult men, including a security guard, before dying by suicide.

Officials confirmed that all children and staff members inside the mosque and school remained unharmed and were evacuated as a precaution following the attack.
