Madrid, Spain – On April 28, X user Connor Joyce shared a video showing hundreds of people in the hallways at the Madrid Open, visibly in pain.

He reported, “Chaos at the Madrid Open with a complete power loss. Scenes mid power outage in Madrid.”

Tournament organizers confirmed that play has been cancelled for the rest of the day following a massive power cut that affected Spain and neighboring Portugal.
