Yuma, Arizona – U.S. Marine Corps CH-53 pilots from Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) conducted air-to-air refueling during a training exercise near Yuma, Arizona, on March 31, 2026.
The helicopters, carrying military vehicles, practiced in-flight refueling as part of the Weapons and Tactics Instructor course 2-26.
This seven-week course, hosted by MAWTS-1, emphasizes the operational integration of the seven functions of Marine aviation in support of the Marine Air Ground Task Force, as well as Joint and Coalition Forces.
