East Fishkill, United States – A lost Canada goose gosling was successfully reunited with its family after being discovered near a school in East Fishkill, New York.
An Environmental Conservation officer responded after an East Fishkill police officer, who serves as a school resource officer at Fishkill Plains Elementary School, was alerted to the young bird seen by students during recess.
The officer searched the area for the gosling’s family but was unable to locate them at the scene.
The baby goose was then transported to Vassar College, where a group of goslings and two adult geese were observed nearby.
The officer introduced the gosling to the group, where it was accepted into the family flock.
The successful reunion brought the situation to a positive conclusion after the separation earlier in the day.
