Blue Angels And Thunderbirds Ignite Skies With Rare Super Delta Over Pensacola Beach

Pensacola Beach, United States – A rare and striking aerial display unfolded over Pensacola Beach Pier as the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds carried out a “Super Delta” formation.

Video filmed by X user TheSaltySrNCO shows the scene from the pier, where beachgoers and spectators gather to watch the flyover, including a man wearing a Blue Angels cap holding a camera.

The footage captures 12 jets approaching low over turquoise Gulf waters and a white-sand shoreline lined with hotels and high-rise buildings. The aircraft move into a tight V-shaped formation while releasing long white smoke trails that stretch across the clear blue sky.

As the jets pass overhead, the camera tilts upward and follows their movement, with ocean waves, distant ships, and the coastline visible below.

The post states: “Filmed this of the super delta.”

The flyover was a rare joint demonstration carried out while the Thunderbirds were in the area after training. It took place over the Gulf Pier around 10:40 to 10:50 a.m., drawing beach crowds for the unexpected display.

The event happened while NAS Pensacola was closed to the public for practices, turning it into a surprise aerial moment for those present.
