Castle Rock, Colorado, United States – A bear climbed over a chain-link fence to enter a police department parking lot in Castle Rock during the weekend, according to surveillance footage shared by authorities.

The animal managed to scale the fence before briefly moving through the secured area in what officials described as a “bear-icade breach.” The bear was seen exploring the lot in search of food.

Officials said the bear conducted a short “pawspection” of the area but did not find any picnic baskets, unattended snacks, or other food sources.

After the brief visit, the bear left the area without incident. Police noted that wildlife sightings such as this are considered a normal occurrence in Castle Rock.
