Maroon Bells Area, Colorado, United States – A morning observation report recorded substantial wind transport in the area, indicating strong wind-driven snow movement across the mountain slopes.
Several avalanches were observed running off the north face of North Maroon. One larger avalanche was also seen releasing from the east spur of North Maroon.
Additional smaller wind slab avalanches were triggered while skiing on north-west facing slopes.
