Fulshear, Texas, USA – Fulshear police issued a warning to residents as pool season begins after officers were called to remove a small alligator from a backyard swimming pool.

Body-camera footage released by the department shows the reptile swimming inside the residential pool after apparently deciding to take a dip.

Officers attempted several times to capture the animal before one officer finally managed to gain control of the alligator and pull it from the water.

The reptile was later placed into the back of a patrol vehicle following the capture.

Police used the incident to remind residents to “look before you leap” as warmer weather and pool season arrive.
