Worlds Largest Aircraft Carrier Conducts Flight Operations During Operation Epic Fury

Eastern Mediterranean Sea – The worlds largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), carried out flight operations on March 8, 2026 as part of Operation Epic Fury.

The activities involved aircraft operating from the flight deck of the carrier while it supported the ongoing mission. USS Gerald R. Ford is the lead ship of the Ford class and the largest aircraft carrier in the world.

The carrier has been operating in the Eastern Mediterranean while supporting Operation Epic Fury, which involves U.S. military activity in the region. Aircraft launched from the vessel conduct missions connected to the operation.
