Aguilas Murcia – Two gas station employees confronted an armed robber and stopped a violent robbery attempt in Aguilas.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect entering the station fully covered with a hood and armed with a gun. He first approached a male worker, who did not back down.
Meanwhile, a female employee was finishing up with a customer at the register. Neither appeared to panic.
After the customer left, the suspect forced the male employee toward the register. At that moment, the woman sprayed the armed man with what appeared to be pepper spray.
A struggle followed, but the suspect fled the scene without taking anything.
Police later identified the man as a known criminal. He had arrived in a car stolen two days earlier from Pulpi, Almeria.
The Guardia Civil launched an investigation, gathering surveillance footage and other evidence. A police order was issued for the suspect’s arrest.
Three days later, local police captured the man. He is now facing charges for attempted robbery with violence and for vehicle theft.
