Wildfires Rage in Marble Complex as Firefighters Battle to Gain Control

Marble, USA – On July 12, 2025, the Marble Complex wildfire covers 709 acres with 35 percent containment, while nearby fires continue to challenge firefighters.

The Jacket Fire spans 46 acres and is 96 percent contained. Firefighters maintain constant patrols to prevent flare-ups.

The Summit Fire, at 663 acres, shows contrasting behavior. The northern flank exhibits minimal fire activity, with crews focused on mopping up and reinforcing containment lines. However, the southern flank remains active, producing visible smoke.

Ground teams have built direct hand lines that connect with natural barriers. Controlled burns, or firing operations, are being used strategically to remove vegetation pockets that threaten control lines and risk spot fires.

This careful approach has strengthened containment efforts, allowing firefighters to construct more secure lines.

Currently, 470 personnel are actively engaged in combating these wildfires, working tirelessly to bring the situation under control.
