Wall Of Fire Engulfs I-75 As Massive Everglades Wildfire Rages Beside Highway

Naples, United States – A dramatic in-car dashboard video shows a vehicle traveling eastbound on I-75 (Alligator Alley) through the Florida Everglades near Naples on February 24, 2026, as the massive Collier County wildfire burned directly alongside the highway.

The footage, filmed by X user Relic (@XRPRelic), begins on a long, straight stretch of road cutting across sawgrass and cypress swamp. Thick black and grey smoke pours over all lanes from the right shoulder, while bright orange flames tear through dry brush and palmettos just off the pavement. In several areas, flames rise 10 to 20 feet high, forming a moving wall of fire parallel to traffic.

Visibility drops sharply as smoke blankets the roadway, tinting the sky an intense orange-brown. Embers swirl in the wind while the vehicle continues at highway speed. In multiple sections, flames reach the edge of the asphalt, and towering plumes roll directly above the lanes, forcing the driver to push forward through heavy haze.

A second clip reveals the broader масшcope of the blaze, showing a fire line stretching deep into the Everglades. Multiple active fronts burn simultaneously, with continuous smoke columns climbing high into the sky.

The 64-second main video and 45-second follow-up contain no music, capturing only road noise, the crackling of flames, and the unsettling quiet of driving through an active wildfire. The caption reads: “Crazy, looks like a movie.”

The footage quickly became one of the most widely shared citizen recordings of the “National Fire” / Everglades blaze, which had burned tens of thousands of acres with zero containment at the time. It highlights how rapidly firsthand videos can gain national attention during Florida’s wildfire season.
