Ford Island, Hawaii – U.S. Army divers assigned to the 569th Dive Detachment, 130th Engineer Brigade, used a chainsaw underwater at Ford Island on October 15, 2025, during a salvage dive rodeo.

The salvage diver rodeo is designed for Soldiers to gain practical experience with hydraulic tools while operating below the surface.

The event also certifies participants on using hydraulic equipment and performing essential salvage tasks.
