University Tuna Serenades Crowds On One Of Seville’s Most Beautiful Nights

Seville, Spain – A short video filmed by X user Marilo Rivera shows a lively nighttime street scene on Santa Maria La Blanca Street around 8:54 PM on December 7, 2025.

The clip captures a traditional university “tuna” group, a historic student musical ensemble, performing during the Immaculate Conception festivities, one of Seville’s most cherished annual celebrations.

The musicians wear colorful 17th-century-inspired outfits with capes, vests and wide-brimmed hats in black, yellow and plaid patterns. They play energetic folk tunes on string instruments including guitars and bandurrias.

A green flag, likely representing the University of Seville’s colors, waves among the performers as they play from a cobblestone sidewalk lined with ornate yellow historic buildings, wrought-iron balconies, street lamps and several shuttered shops.

A small crowd of locals bundled in coats and scarves gathers to watch and applaud, creating a warm, festive atmosphere under the evening lights. The video lasts about 36 seconds and highlights the joyful, spontaneous energy of the tradition.

The post’s caption translates to: “And yes! Today is one of the most beautiful nights in Seville. I love it!”
