U.S. Forces Launch First-Ever Combat Strike With Precision Missiles

U.S. Central Command announced that, for the first time in history, long-range Precision Strike Missiles (PrSMs) were used in combat during Operation Epic Fury, delivering unprecedented deep strike capabilities against enemy targets.

“I just could not be prouder of our men and women in uniform leveraging innovation to create dilemmas for the enemy,” said Adm. Brad Cooper, CENTCOM Commander.

The deployment of PrSMs marks a significant milestone in modern warfare, providing U.S. forces with enhanced precision, range, and effectiveness on the battlefield. These advanced missiles enable strikes on strategic targets previously difficult to reach, reshaping operational planning and response.

CENTCOM emphasized that this historic use demonstrates the commitment of U.S. forces to integrating cutting-edge technology into real-world operations, ensuring tactical advantage and mission success.

The successful combat use of PrSMs during Operation Epic Fury underscores a new era of military capability, combining innovation with strategic execution in ways never before tested in conflict.
