Turkey Captured After Causing Chaos Inside Indiana Grocery Store

Granger, Indiana – A wild turkey caused a stir inside a grocery store in northern Indiana, leading to an unusual police response.

The St. Joseph County Police Department released body cam footage of the incident.

The bird was spotted inside a Martin’s Super Market in Granger.

According to the department, the turkey was “causing chaos” in the store.

A K-9 officer responded and located the turkey perched on a shelf in the pharmacy section.

As the turkey tried to escape, the officer grabbed it by the legs.

The bird flapped its wings wildly but was safely captured.

Police say the turkey was peacefully escorted out of the store.

It was released completely unharmed.
