Troopers Rescue Injured Red-Tailed Hawk In Grayling

Grayling, Michigan – On October 15, troopers from the Michigan State Police Houghton Lake Post responded to a parking lot in Grayling for a report of an injured Red-Tailed Hawk.

At the scene, troopers used a blanket and a dog cage to secure and rescue the bird.

They contacted the Department of Natural Resources and transported the hawk to the Association to Rescue Kritters (A.R.K.).

The hawk will be cared for at A.R.K. until it can be released back into the wild.
