Rio Bonito do Iguacu, Brazil – Emergency crews rushed into action after a powerful tornado tore through Rio Bonito do Iguacu, leaving widespread damage and forcing families to flee their homes.
Civil Defense teams, firefighters, and state agencies were deployed immediately to rescue victims, assist affected residents, and begin rebuilding the destroyed areas.
Authorities set up multiple emergency centers to coordinate relief operations and provide food, shelter, and support to those displaced.
The command post is located at Restaurante e Churrascaria Vezzaro, while registration and screening are taking place at the Campo do Bugre Sports Gym. Meals are being distributed at the Senior Center on Av. Dom Pedro II. Temporary shelter has been arranged at Casa de Lideres Santa Ana in Laranjeiras do Sul, and donations are being collected at the Bancarios Gymnasium in the same city.
Officials emphasized unity and solidarity, calling on residents and volunteers to work together so the city can recover as quickly as possible.
