Sturgeon Bay, Lake Michigan – On July 28, 2025, a U.S. Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Traverse City rescued three people from the water after a boat capsized.

The 16-foot vessel overturned in Sturgeon Bay, prompting a rescue response from the Coast Guard.

All three individuals were safely pulled from the water by the helicopter crew.

They were then flown to Pellston Regional Airport in Michigan, where Emergency Medical Services were standing by.
