Antioquia, Colombia – A swift and courageous operation by the Colombian Air Force rescued three National Army soldiers injured in a terrorist attack involving improvised explosive devices.
The evacuation began in the remote village of Los Trozos, in the municipality of Anorí, and safely transported the wounded soldiers to the Pedro Justo Berrío Battalion in Medellín for specialized medical care.
Flying in a “Ángel” helicopter from Combat Air Command No. 5 (CACOM 5), the aircrew overcame difficult terrain and adverse weather conditions to ensure a secure and rapid extraction. Onboard military medical personnel provided critical care, keeping the soldiers stable throughout the flight.
The operation highlights the professionalism, bravery, and high-level training of the Colombian Air Force, demonstrating their ability to respond quickly in life-threatening situations.
